PDF of Presentation Slides

The Fall 2025 CAP Meeting brought together leaders, researchers, and industry experts to discuss current initiatives and future priorities at the Center for Infrastructure Renewal (CIR). The meeting opened with remarks from Mr. Greg Baker, CAP Chair, followed by leadership insights from Dr. Jodie Lutkenhaus (TEES) and Ms. Darlene Goehl (TTI).

CIR updates were presented by Dr. Anand Puppala, CIR Director, and Dr. Edith Arámbula Mercado, CIR Deputy Director, highlighting recent progress and strategic goals.

The CAP Member Spotlight featured Dr. Rich Szecsy, CEO of Big Town Concrete, who addressed the practical needs for concrete compressive strength modeling amid rapid changes in cement types and supplementary cementitious materials (SCMs) in Texas.

A research highlight was delivered by Dr. Navid Jafari, Associate Professor at Texas A&M University, focusing on geotechnical infrastructure challenges under extreme weather events.

The meeting concluded with a recap of virtual one-on-one sessions and a forward-looking discussion led by Mr. Greg Baker and Dr. Anand Puppala, covering research priorities, AI modeling initiatives, and water infrastructure. The session wrapped up with a Q&A session for collaboration amongst attendees.

Thank you to all who attended and contributed to the success of the Fall 2025 CAP Meeting!
